Qn1. What is this Project Cell Phone Modernization?
Ans: Cell Phone Modernization is a project handled by PMO and ICT at Lumenus. The objective of this project is to:
- Migrate cell phones under the Rogers Mobility plan to the Bell Mobility plan as they come out of contract.
- Replace 65 of the oldest smartphones
- replace smartphones that do not adhere to the iPhone standard
Qn2.Will the replacement of the phone will take place for all Lumenus Staff?
Ans: Unfortunately, The replacement of the phones will take place only for staff who have the oldest smartphones and the phones who do not adhere to the iPhone standard. To date, we figured out there is 65 staff across Lumenus whose phones need to be replaced.
Qn3.What if I am used to my old phone and do not want to replace it?
Ans: You do not have any option to keep your old phone with you in case you are comfortable using it and do not want to replace it.
Qn4.Do I have any option to choose a new phone?
Ans: Unfortunately, You do not have any option to choose the Model, color, or any other configuration, We will be providing you new iPhone 13.
Qn5.Will I be getting a new phone number?
Ans: No, your number will remain the same. You won't be allocated any new number.
Qn6.What about my contacts and photos on my old phone?
Ans: You need to Sync your important data into the cloud in order to make it available to you on your new device. The links for synching are provided below:
Qn7.How can I create an apple Id, I do not have one?
Ans: Please see the link below and follow the instructions. These steps to create an apple id only needs to be followed in case you do not have any apple id created yet.
Qn8.What will happen to my old phone?
Ans:Your old phone will be collected my ICT, during the time of replacement and will be recycled once your new phone will be fully configured.
Qn9.Can I give my phone to someone on my Team before the replacement?
Ans: You are not allowed to provide yourold phone to anyone else.Your phone will only be replaced once your old phone will be submitted to ICT.
